This is an interesting development and will hopefully have a positive impact on the development and release of future version of MediaWiki. A few notes of import. ==New Teams== There will be 6 teams focused around the following. *Community Tech *Editing *Reading *Search & Discovery *Fundraising Tech *Infrastructure ==New CTO== The foundation is also creating a new Chief Technical Officer (CTO) role. In the past the foundation had a CTO who was focused on technical issues. This new CTO position is different in it's focus and scope. This new CTO role will oversee the following functions.
