As a follow up to [[Blog_Post:30|our last blog post]], there's an opportunity to future discuss the topic of shared hosting and MediaWiki. Gilles Dubuc is [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/IRC_office_hours#Upcoming_office_hours hosting an office hour on IRC] on November 19th to discuss the topic with members of the community.

Titled"Reconnecting with the shared hosting community" this is a chance to talk more about this topic and how we might all move forward. I encourage you to attend.

As an additional note, the originally titled task of "The end of shared hosting support?" was changed to "[https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T113210 How should the WMF support non-technical mediawiki installs?]". The topic's focus has shifted slightly, but the elephant in the room remains the same - What level of support should the WMF provide to third-party MediaWiki users and how does that impact future development?
