While at the [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Hackathon_2015 Lyon Hackathon this week] I've gotten a chance to become familar with the MediaWiki Living Styleguide. This guide is really handy if you're building an extension that presents dialog (words) or inputs (buttons, forms) to the people using your wiki. The guide outlines all the various UI elements that are being used in MediaWiki core. Instead of having to guess or 'eyeball' elements as you design and layout your extension interface you can reference the living styleguide as you work.

The guide, and all of the individual elements, is [http://tools.wmflabs.org/styleguide/ browsable on wmflabs.org]. There's a separate section for desktop and mobile.

You can read more about the guide here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Design/Living_style_guide
